Supplemental Health Care is partnering with a school district to provide a school Speech Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow, SLP-CFY for the upcoming 2019-2020 school year in Stone Mountain, Georgia.
The Speech Language Pathologist, SLP-CFY:
. Receives district level mentoring throughout the clinical fellowship year
. Participates in the child study, referral and IEP process and provide assessment and information regarding a student's speech/language abilities
. Provides a therapeutic program of instruction to meet individual needs of children with speech /language disabilities with the goal to improve or alleviate communication and swallowing problems and help students achieve their maximum potential in learning, social, prevocational/vocational, and recreational activities.
. Collaborates with classroom teachers and other school personnel to implement strategies for instruction.
. Provides consultation to regular education, special education, support staff and parents regarding programming for children with communication needs through appropriate service delivery models.
. Keeps thorough and ongoing records for identified students.
. Maintains appropriate records of referrals, screening and assessments.
. Follows district policies and procedures.
. Performs such other tasks as may be assigned by supervisor.
. Elementary, middle, or high school
. Bell times: 8:00-3:00
. Full time or part time schedule preferred, 35-40 hours per week
. Must be well versed in Augmentative Communication, Autism, Cognitive Impairments and Behavior
