Supplemental Health Care is a nationally recognized healthcare staffing provider partnering with a school district in Killeen, TX to provide a Speech-Language Pathologist, SLP-CFY.

The Speech-Language Pathologist will play a vital role in the school's educational mission and provide needed services to the student population at large. Interested SLP's will provide and direct speech-language services to children ages 0-18 in a variety of early intervention and educational settings.

The school-based Speech-Language Pathologist's focus is the communication abilities of students. The SLP's goal is to remediate, improve, or alleviate communication and swallowing problems to help students achieve their maximum potential in learning, social, prevocational/vocational, and recreational activities.

Interested SLP candidates will enjoy a full time for the entirety of the 2018-2019 school year.

Responsibilities:
-Provides pre-referral consultations and contributes to initiatives to improve communication skills and learning, including Response to Intervention (RtI).
-Implements and conducts speech-language therapy treatment to meet goals and objectives in the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP), the Individual Educational Plan (IEP), the Individual Transition Plan (ITP), or 504 Plan.
-Documents results of student's assessment, treatment, follow-up, service completion, and dismissal from therapy.
-Reviews the quality and appropriateness of the total services delivered and of Speech-Language Therapy services.

Job skills/requirements:

-Education: Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
-Licensing: Holds an active license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Texas.
-Mentorship: Mentorship will be provided for all interested SLP-CFY candidates.
-State Education Credential: Holds an active license, credential, or certificate to work in educational settings in Texas.
-Training and experience: Eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year.
