Supplemental Health Care is partnering with an internationally recognized non-profit organization in New York, NY to find a New York State Certified Special Education Teacher. The first of its kind, this Early Intervention Program provides ABA therapy with no out of pocket costs to toddlers with autism and other developmental disorders.

Description: Every child deserves a chance to achieve. Utilizing an integrated model of learning, teachers will provide evidenced-based therapy with a team of professionals at a brand new center in the Bronx. Teachers will lead ABA classrooms, Global Delay groups, and Socialization groups. Toddlers who are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other global delays will receive 1:1 instruction and will learn to socialize with typically-developing peers.

Responsibilities and Duties: The teacher will implement programs based on the science of applied behavior analysis, speech and language pathology, and occupational therapy. Other duties include intake and ongoing assessments of students; data collection on child's progress; leading group activities; implementation of behavior intervention plans; participation in interdisciplinary team meetings; staff supervision and observations; staff development; and parent- teacher meetings.

Schedule: 8:00 am - 5:15 pm

Salary: $60,000 - $68,000 a year

Job skills/requirements:

Bachelors degree
New York State Special Education Teacher Certification(Birth-2nd Grade certified)
ABA experience strongly preferred
Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Early Intervention (EI) strongly preferred
Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
